The foreword is followed by an introductory chapter, where the author talks more about his upbringing as a thirteen-generation Finnish farmer and how Four Sigmatic was born. It’ll then move to mushroom lingo and give you a brief overview of ten prominent functional mushrooms.
The biggest portion of Healing Mushrooms has been dedicated to recipes, a whole 118 pages. Out of the 50 creative and easy-to-follow recipes, only 11 include Chaga Mushroom. The recipes are fit for most of today’s common dietary requirements like paleo, vegan, ketogenic to leaky gut. Some of the recipes that include Chaga and we’re excited to try out are, miso mushroom seaweed soup and mulled mushroom wine.
In conclusion, the Healing Mushrooms: A practical and Culinary Guide to Using Mushrooms for Whole Body Health is a resourceful guide to start learning about medicinal mushrooms and how to integrate them
into your life. The book has been published in 2017 by Avery Publishing, a book publishing imprint of the Penguin Group. Tero Isokauppilas’s book is a bit of an infomercial for the author’s company, but entertaining and informative, well put together, including illustrations and colorful images.
